From the Fashion Runways to your Front Door: Spring 2010 Trends

From the Fashion Runways to your Front Door: Spring 2010 Trends

I didn’t want to be the one to break the bad news, but the Olympics are officially over, and as disheartening and daunting as it may seem, it’s time to part with the token red hoody and Canada flag hanging in your window. Now I’m not trying to be a downer nor an elitest - god knows I was sporting my Canada gear with just as much pride as the next guy, but seriously, it’s time to move on…

Spring is definitely upon us and now is the opportunity to introduce some new colour palettes into your wardrobe (and maybe even your home!). And what does Spring 2010 bring in terms of trends and colours? Based on the Pantone Fashion Colour Report for Spring 2010 (click here to download full version), our wardrobes are expected to contain the these colours.

Across the world, fashion runways are exploding with bright pops of colour - vibrant yellows, tropical blues, tangy reds and sexy corals. These looks are not only rocking the runways, but they’re also finding their way into our homes. It’s fascinating to see how fashion and interior design inspire one another. I hope you enjoy looking through these upcoming colour trends and thinking of how you can incorporate them into both your wardrobe and home.

What do you think of these colour palettes? Which is your favourite? What other colours and trends do you see popping up in home décor and fashion for the Spring?
